From the trenches, where’s the market?

The past month or so I have been hearing how bad the economy, stock market, gas prices are and even a little tired of the Brett Farve soap opera.  I’m not an economist but the economy does look a little shaky.  One thing I do know is people are seeing value in Central Florida homes again.  Is it the sellers market of the early 2000’s no, but some areas are coming back and other communities are going to take a little longer.

TEAMCONNECT has been working with a good group of buyers from the UK, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, California and Chicago.  These are not lookers but buyers that are ready to purchase and writing offers.  Talking to other agents in the office and from other local real estate companies it looks like this is the end of the summer real estate season and buyers are purchasing before school starts.  I’ve said it before but worth saying again, gradual decreases in price will bring back value and we are seeing that.

The funny thing is we hear all this bad news but this past year was nothing like last year.  It’s Monday morning the team is getting ready for another busy week.  Again it’s not crazy busy but there is a little more oil in the real estate market getting things moving again.  And for Brett, thanks for the memory’s buddy but it’s time to move on.

Take a look at all Dr Phillips real estate and Dr Phillips homes.
