I was driving down Apopka-Vineland Boulevard the other day in Dr Phillips and decided to take a look at the new Dr Phillips Park. My sisters Paula and Julie are the ones with the young kids so there was no rush getting there. You can bike or walk the paved trail from Darlene if you live in Sand Lake Point, Sand Lake Cove or Diamond Cove that takes you to the entrance or you can drive down Buena Vista Woods and use the huge parking lot.
Walking up I thought ok this is nice but when I finally took it all in the Beautiful lakefront to Big Sand Lake and all the amenities, what a great design and use, creative minds were at work!
A baseball field looking out over tall oaks what a backdrop, soccer field, sand volley ball and three play areas fenced for the kids that I wish I had growing up. In the center of the lakefront park is the concession area and public restrooms. Oh don’t forget to bring your dog, small or large there are two dog parks on lots I could of found buyers for. Well done Dr Phillips you out did yourself again!
